I have been on a swing for R&B effused music lately. I am a huge fan of the band Rhye, and on search for more bands like Rhye, I discovered Chet Faker. His electronica and downtempo soulful sound creates an atmosphere that is calming and moody. He is currently best known for his cover of Backstreet’s “No Diggity” which is phenomenally unique.
But as April comes near, Chet Faker is preparing for the release of his first full length album on the 15th. His first single, “Talk is Cheap” was released earlier last month, and while the song is beautiful, there is something about the video that is so capturing. Imagery that reminds me of perhaps Iron and Wine, but with a sound so deep and soulful.
