For the first half of October, Americans dealt with the recent government shutdown that lasted for sixteen days. During this partial shutdown, many government offices were closed and normal operations ceased. Thousands of federal employees were told not to come to work. For those who did work, it was tough realizing they would not be paid. While students on college campuses were not directly affected by the shutdown, they did have opinions on it. NewsCenter 95 reporter Brendan Johnson went around Valpo to get a take on several students’ perspectives on the ordeal in Washington.
