At 5:06 PM, a staff member reported being harassed. The incident is under investigation.

October 07, 2015

False Fire Alarm

At 10:59 AM, an officer responded to Memorial Hall for an activated fire alarm that was caused by an employee using an aerosol can.  Valpo Fire/Rescue was advised and did not respond.

Theft

At 11:00 AM, a student reported the theft of his bicycle that may have been left unsecured.  A report was taken.

October 08, 2015

Criminal Mischief

At 12:03 PM, a staff member reported a threatening and offensive message was carved into a desk.  The incident is under investigation.

Information

At 5:40 PM, a student reported that two weeks prior, his bicycle was stolen from Brandt Hall.  He found his bike with someone’s lock on it.  Officer investigated, proof of ownership was determined. The bike was recovered for the owner.

Medical

At 2:28 AM, an officer and Valpo Fire/Rescue responded to Alumni Hall for a student in need of medical attention.  The student refused further medical attention.

Property Damage

At 4:52 PM, an officer responded to Parking Ramp 8 for damage to a vehicle.  A report was taken.

October 10, 2015

Battery

At 1:40 AM, officers responded to the area of Chapel Drive for a report of a battery.  The case was investigated. The case has been forwarded to the Porter County Prosecutor for pending charges.

Gas Leak

At 4:46 PM, an officer and Valpo Fire/Rescue responded to the Harre Union for a report of a gas odor.  FM located the problem and shut off the boilers to repair the leak.

Medical

At 7:06 PM, an officer and Valpo Fire/Rescue responded to Lankenau Hall for a student in need of medical attention.  Valpo Fire/Rescue transported the student to Porter Regional Hospital.
