November 15, 2015


Property Damage

At 5:30 AM while on patrol, an officer observed the street sign at McIntyre Court and Union Street had been damaged.  The Valparaiso Street Department was advised.


November 16, 2015


Missing Person

At 1:00 PM, a female non-student was reported missing.  Shortly after that, the female was located and was found to be okay.  No further action was taken.


Vehicle Crash

At 2:51 PM, an officer took a hit and run vehicle crash report that occurred in Lot 20.  There were no reported injuries.


Welfare Check

At 5:32 PM, officers responded to Lankenau Hall for a report of a student in need of assistance.  Officers spoke with the student, it was determined no other assistance was needed.



At 6:37 PM, officers responded to Lankenau Hall for a report of a fight in progress.  The parties were separated on arrival and an investigation is ongoing.


November 18, 2015



At 12:38 PM, a student reported receiving harassing text messages since 2006.  An investigation is ongoing.



At 11:18 PM, officers responded to the Arts and Science building for a suspicious male in the building.  The male, a non-student was escorted from the building and issued a trespass warning for university property.


November 19, 2015


Suspicious Incident

At 8:20 AM, officers responded to the My Health Clinic for a report of a suspicious male entering the building after hours with a key.  The incident was investigated.


Vehicle Crash

At 10:49 AM, an officer took a report of a hit and run vehicle crash that occurred at the tennis court parking.  There were no injuries.


November 20, 2015


Welfare Check At 11:52 AM, an officer received a report that a student in need of assistance. The student was not on campus and the police department in the student’s city of residence was notified.


November 23, 2015



At 7:23 PM, a student reported she was having problems with her roommate, who is her ex-boyfriend.  The student was assisted in making plans for a relocation.

November 28, 2015


False Fire Alarm

At 7:43 PM, an officer and Valpo Fire/Rescue responded to Promenade East for an activated fire alarm.  It was determined cooking smoke activated the alarm.



The entire street of McIntyre is McIntyre residents’ parking only. Residents and their guest are having problems finding parking. VU and City Police Officers are working together to correct the problem, resident parking enforcement has begun.
