Police Investigating CVS Pharmacy Robbery
3 Subjects Enter Pharmacy and Demand Drugs
Valparaiso Police responded last night (11:30 p.m.) to CVS Pharmacy at 1805 Calumet Ave for a reported robbery.
Officers arrived and learned that three subjects, one male and two female subjects entered the store, walked to the pharmacy and demanded “pain medications”. The female subject informed employees she had a gun and wanted all their “pain medications”. No gun was observed.
The female subject obtain numerous pills of OxyContin and all three fled the store.
One female subject was wearing a camouflage jacket with blue jeans and appeared to have red hair. The other female subject was wearing blue jeans with a blue hooded sweatshirt underneath a black jacket. The male subject was wearing a tan Carhartt style jacket and blue jeans. All three of the subjects had their faces partially covered with hoods and other clothing. Each appeared to be wearing layers of clothing and gloves. Once outside the store each ran a different direction.
A police K9 attempted to track the suspects once they exited the store with negative results. Store surveillance photos of the subjects are attached to this release. Police continue to investigate.
