March 14, 2016

 

Welfare Check

At 1:22 AM, an officer responded to Neils Science Center in reference to a wellbeing check. Officers located the employee and there was no problem.

 

Suspicious Person

At 9:10 AM, a student reported being occasionally followed by an unknown person. The incident is under investigation.

 

Medical

At 2:23 PM, an officer and Valpo Fire/Rescue responded to Meier Hall for a student feeling faint.  The student refused further medical treatment.

 

March 16, 2016

 

Suspicious Activity

At 11:20 AM, a student reported fraudulent activity.  The incident is under investigation.

 

Theft

At 12:54 PM, an officer responded to Guild Hall for a theft report.  Several pairs of shoes were taken from a student’s room.  

 

Vehicle Crash

At 1:41 PM, an officer responded to Lot 45 for a vehicle crash.  There were no injuries and a report was taken.

 

At 3:40 PM, an officer took a report of a hit and run vehicle crash that occurred in Lot 13.  There were no injuries.  An investigation is ongoing.

 

Possession of Marijuana

At 10:58 PM, officers responded to Lankenau Hall for a report of an odor of marijuana.  Officers recovered marijuana and paraphernalia. The student was arrested, state citation, for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

 

E-mail Fraud

Several staff members reported that their email were compromised. An officer’s email was one of those compromised. The case is being investigated.   

 

March 18, 2016

 

Medical

At 3:20 AM, officers and Valpo Fire/Rescue responded to Scheele Hall for an intoxicated student.  Valpo Fire/Rescue advised the student was intoxicated but at a level that did not require hospitalization.  The student refused further medical attention.

March 19, 2016

 

Medical

At 10:55 PM, an officer and Valpo Fire/Rescue responded to Alumni Hall for an intoxicated student.  Valpo Fire/Rescue transported the student to the Valparaiso Medical Center.

 

March 20, 2016

 

Medical

At 12:24 AM, officers and Valpo Fire/Rescue responded to Scheele Hall for an intoxicated student.  Valpo Fire/Rescue transported the student to the Valparaiso Medical Center.

 

At 12:34 AM, an officer and Valpo Fire/Rescue responded to Brandt Hall for an intoxicated student.  Valpo Fire/Rescue transported the student to the Valparaiso Medical Center.

 

At 12:53 AM, officers and Valpo Fire/Rescue responded to Lankenau Hall for an intoxicated student.  Valpo Fire/Rescue transported the student to Porter Regional Hospital.

 

At 1:10 AM, an officer and Valpo Fire/Rescue responded to Scheele Hall for an intoxicated student.  Valpo Fire/Rescue transported the student to Porter Regional Hospital.

 

At 1:41 AM, an officer and Valpo Fire/Rescue responded to Beacon Hall for an intoxicated student.  Valpo Fire/Rescue transported the student to the Valparaiso Medical Center.

Spring is here, more pedestrians will be out. Please use caution while driving and help keep others safe.

Campus speed limit is 20 MPH. Happy Easter to our campus community from VU Police.
