Welfare Check

At 12:42 AM, an officer responded to Lankenau Hall for a welfare check on a student.  The officer transported the student to the Valparaiso Medical Center.

 

Property Damage

At 2:10 PM, while on patrol at the student bridge, an officer observed damage to the silver dedication plaque and the bridge railing.

 

Elevator Issue

At 11:56 AM, an officer and Valpo Fire/Rescue responded to Alumni Hall for a student stuck in an elevator.  The responders were able to restart the elevator allowing the student to exit.

 

Odor of Marijuana

At 5:03 PM, officers responded to Alumni Hall for a report of an odor of marijuana.  Officers did not locate any marijuana.

 

Welfare Check

At 9:28 PM, an officer responded to Alumni Hall for a welfare check on a student.  After speaking with the student, it was determined the student was okay and needed no further assistance.

Fire Alarm

At 7:36 AM, an officer responded to Promenade West for an activated fire alarm.  There was no fire or smoke and Valpo Fire/Rescue was advised to cancel their response.

 

April 07, 2016

 

Theft

At 10:45 AM, an officer responded to Eastgate for a report of the theft of diesel fuel from construction equipment.  There are no suspects at this time.

 

April 08, 2016

 

Welfare Check

At 6:15 PM, an officer attempted to conduct a welfare check on a student, the student was located. The student did not need assistance.

 

Information

At 7:52 PM, an officer observed a subject walking behind the construction site on Union Street.   Officers made contact, the 22 year old student was intoxicated. He was sent home.

 

April 10, 2016

 

Medical

At 1:43 AM, officers and Valpo Fire/Rescue responded to Memorial Hall for a student having stomach and chest pain.  Valpo Fire/Rescue transported the student to Porter Regional Hospital.

 

Criminal Mischief

At 1:57 PM, an officer responded to Mound Street for a report of damage to a vehicle.  There are no suspects at this time.

As we approach finals and the end of our academic year please use caution when driving on campus, many pedestrians do not concentrate while crossing roads.
