Noise Complaint

At 1:24 AM, officers responded to Union Street for a report of a noise complaint.  Residents were advised the noise violation.

 

Medical

At 1:28 AM, officers and Valpo Fire/Rescue responded to Alumni Hall for a student who was intoxicated.  Valpo Fire/Rescue transported the student to the Valparaiso Medical Center.

 

At 2:07 AM, officers responded to Brandt Hall for a student in need of assistance.  Officer arrived and provided assistance.

 

At 2:23 AM, officers and Valpo Fire/Rescue responded to Lankenau Hall for a student who was intoxicated.  Valpo Fire/Rescue transported the student to the Valparaiso Medical Center.

 

August 28, 2017

 

False Fire Alarm

At 2:37 PM, an officer and Valpo Fire/Rescue responded to the Center for the Sciences for an activated fire alarm.  It was determined that a  faulty sensor was the cause of the alarm.

 

Alarm

At 11:23 PM, an officer responded to the VUCA for a report of an alarm.  The area was checked and the alarm was reset.

 

August 30, 2017

 

Suspicious Package

At 9:46 PM, officers responded to Wesemann Hall for a report of a package that had been left in the building.  It was determined that the package contained clothing items and given to it’s owner.

 

August 31, 2017

 

Suspicious Person

At 4:33AM, an officer responded to Gellerson Hall for a report of a suspicious person.  The person in question was a university employee.

 

Property Damage

At 9:46 AM, an officer responded to Brandt Hall for a report of a broken window.  It was determined that the window was broken by a student who tripped and fell into the window.  The student was uninjured.

 

Medical

At 3:38 PM, officers and Valpo Fire/Rescue responded to LaPorte Avenue for a person who may have had a seizure.  Valpo Fire/Rescue transported the person to the Valparaiso Medical Center.

 

Possession of Paraphernalia

At 7:10 PM, officers responded to Alumni Hall for a report of an odor of marijuana.  Paraphernalia was found. The investigation ongoing.  

 

September 01, 2017

 

Possession of Paraphernalia

At 9:41 PM, officers responded to Promenade East for students who were intoxicated.  Paraphernalia was found and confiscated. Citation arrest was made.

 

September 02, 2017

 

Medical

At 3:50 AM, officers and Valpo Fire/Rescue responded to Promenade East for a report of an unresponsive female.  The female was treated.
